    Default Mirage in Orange

I started tying like this a while back and begin calling it 'Mirage'. The idea being to use minimal material and make a jig that causes the fish to question whether it was real or not.

There's already quite a few in my collection with this one's from this morning:

    Thanks guys.

This one was tied a bit different from my usual.
Usually, the hair is tied all at once while spreading it around the shank, then adjusting as needed.

Here, the faux bucktail is tied in 3 parts, top and 2 sides after the flash.
This was done to slow me down some as well as try to get closer to what a good fly tier would do when adding small pieces of the material until finished.

Some of the best tiers on here probably do it that way.

So, that will be part of my slowing down process going forward. More attention to details and trying to get it right before moving to the next step.
    Something to shoot for anyway.
