The mod is a success because of the way you have captured the swivel. One eye is encapulated completely, leaving the neck free and uninvolved. This produces spin on both ends and not just one. Bet it was tricky.

Curious why extend at 90 degrees to hook shank ?

Maybe for vertical jigging ?

Yes vertical jigging is mostly all I do. I do swing my line out a lot and pendulum back to me. It's around the length of my rod. I wouldn't be afraid to cast these too but would be 20' out at the max.

No just disco gold but I will try that! The orange along with the lighting is throwing it off. Here is a daylight pic.

I now use heat shrink. Can get a 100' roll off eBay for like $8 shipped. I also use to after I heated the jig head, clamp the eye with 45 degree curved needle nose pliers. Would keep most the paint off the eye. Could even take a Dremel tool and dermal out a spot in the pliers for the eye to rest in.
