Chopper Jig - Vertical propeller jigging lure
I was holding this video back for a while as I wanted to take it out ice fishing this season, but it seems that I won't have any opportunity to do so this year with the warm weather. Unless I have to drive far up north, but don't think that will be happening for me!
With that said, I will likely vertical jig some crappies off docks, christmas tree drops or points this spring or cast and swim this lure I created. Not sure if there is such lure out there already, but I'll just call this the Chopper jig for now!
TIP: If you want to vertical jig the lure, make sure the cone weight is pointed down towards the hook. If you are casting, make sure the cone is pointing up towards where you will tie the line. This will allow the lure to go through the water easier when using cone weights.
Let me know if any if you ice fisher will give this a go, I wanna see if crappies will bite this through the ice.

Have seen similar jigs made by an old guy around here, but think his also included a minnow hook?
