Yes I think it is, but I do have some with a larger hook, but I have not tied many of them at all, if any.

I have a few colors of chenille in size #4 and even one or two in a #5 and feel sure a #4 double wrapped should make it look more normal.

I poured some #4's in a 1/2oz for a guy years ago. He did this thing called stump bumpin with them. They worked great and he has ordered them several times...I CALL THEM MUSKET BALL JIGS.....LOL....
