Len I have not don't much fall fishing in some time, but reaching way back there was a time I had them dialed in here in the fall. I was mostly using a Roadrunner and I believe they still sell that color combo today. I got to calling it my Christmas jig when I started tying and this jigs is....Flame Red/Kelly Green/Chart. I am not positive, but think the Chart use to be FL Yellow and if it was not then it was not so Green. Anyway feel both will do, but the only more to the Yellow side was great! Anyway original question the Flame Red was good on that one. Also I was fishing Hydrilla in like 10 to 15 foot of water.

I would still use Chart, Chrome, Flame Red, Maybe Hot Pink?

Can you buy this flame red paint or does someone have a formula to mix this?

Anything with chartreuse in it. Mostly chartreuse or pinkjig heads.

It's a Pro-Tec color. I will warn you though in the curing this color in particular you have to make sure not to go too long or it sucks. I just do it like my others which is between 390 and 400 degrees for 17 minutes, considering it takes at least the 2 minutes to get my little oven up to temp. I figure that I am getting 15 min. If I go any longer then it's soon gonna get ugly. Is not Red like Blood Red and has an Orange side to it, but not as Orange as their Blaze Orange.

Here are some Roadrunners and 2 of them have the Flame Red head and the 3rd one is the combo I spoke about. Also will put another old picture of a jig with a Flame Red head just for examples. I did both to show how it looks a little different at times.
