    Default Fruits of my labor

I got to go out fishing Saturday evening and into the night. I hit one a region of an area lake that I hoped would produce, but the water was still fairly muddy, filled with debris, and didn't end up producing like I had hoped. After nightfall, I travelled further south where water conditions were better. After cruising around looking for fish, I decided that even though I wasn't marking many, I decide to anchor in a hopeful area and dropped a home made green light and enjoy the first real nice fishable evening of the year.

I fished one jig pole and one rigged with a bobber (Minnow). I eventually switched the bobber pole to also use a jig and varied my color combos to compare results.

I have a funny story to tell, but will post later in the general area when I get a chance.

I've read many others' comments that it is a wonderful thing to catch fish with something you made yourself... and it is!!!!

Thanks everyone for the ideas and encouragement you have provided!

The kick you get on catching something on something you made never goes away. I think that's why we keep making new stuff. New colors, new something just for the kick.

Nice pile of fish! The thrill never ends. I took slab a few weeks back and he put 2 fish in the boat on the first three casts of the day on one of my hand ties. I was the guy with the big smile.

    That's a jig tying trophy.
Doesn't matter what the jig looks like, how it's tied, what material, if you didn't follow someone else's rules or opinion.....you caught fish. Put food on the table.
Nice stack of the best tasting fish meat, in my opinion.
    Thumbs up.
Make sure and share your meatgetter pattern and hopefully it's the magic bean for the rest of us.

I just added my story under the topic "Lesson Learned" under the main forum.

Sorry, I don't know how to add a link to it here using Tapatalk app.
