    Shu, I have tied with some flash in most of my jigs. When I first started, I figured if a couple of strands was good, a dozen would be fantastic. Never got a hit before I donated it to a tree. Point is, try the pattern before you tie a dozen. I like a strand or two just a bit longer than the tail.

    Skeetbum is right , Don't invest a lot, it has limited value in most situations.

    I just put one strip down each side, but I don't use Krystal Flash on jigs. I use Holographic Flashabou original size.

    I do use Krystal Flash on some fly patterns like Crappie Candy Fly calls for Krystal Flash and how it's used makes it the best option for that. So most things have their place in tying and it's just figuring out which we like best for what.
