I'm new to tying so still learning the jargon so forgive my ignorance but what is a thread hump?

I'm new too, that was my description, doubt it is a term.
Just meant a build-up of thread to form a bump
I'm still trying to figure out his description of using the icicles to build it up

I tied the Icicle material on back about a 1/4 inch from the head. Those wraps combined with the mylar material (icicles) standing out, makes the polar fiber poof out a little. That gives it the fuller profile. When it's wet and moves through the water it will lay down a little, but all in all the hair has a nice full profile. May not matter a bit to a hungry fish. hahaha.
