First off, whenever you cut a feather, you start off by cutting the tip which has the smooth round shape and then the rest are v-shape cuts. It seems like everyone is using 1 or 2 v's with the round tip on top and then tie those together to get that pretty full looking tail for their jigs. I tried just putting 2 v's without the tip and my jig doesn't look full. Every feather has only 1 round shape tip. So do I use 1 feather for every jig or is there a way to make the v's look full?
