i presented it mostly under a float and some vertical doodling in the shallows as well . i think because of the spring tad poles about there is a likely hood it imitates lil tad poles and i imagine they are in the food chain pretty good about right now maybe ?

Black has always been a good color for fishing even night fishing. Bass fishing at night one of the very best colors is Black. A few of us a young guys back in the 1960's started bass fishing a lot and before the end of the 1960's we learned about night fishing for bass from an article so we decided to give it a shot. We had Toledo Bend to ourselves except for a few crappie fishermen for like 5 years. Guess what our favorite color was? Yep Black! Then we learned a spinner bait is spring was really good at night and then we also found some all Black spinner baits and got after them with that. Black works! One of the very best baits in spring is a Black plastic worm.

Very nice! I had a quiet moment the other day and I got my vise out. I whipped up some little black jigs in 1/80, 64th and 32nd. Then the baby woke up so I had to go tend to him!
