The mylar is stretched over the head and tied with nylon string at the front then stretched and tied in the back. I super glued around the string(front) and when it dried I used nail clippers to trim it tight and then coated it with Sally. The head is matched to fit the mylar tight. The head is a southern pro 1/8 oz. tube jig flattened just so the XL pearl mylar fits in. I powder coated the head also. Hope this helps. I did a video a while back but can't find it for now. It took several tries to figure this out and never let anyone know how I did it. Good luck if you try it.

wow the very last picture the one where you put green black and yellow with a little bit of pink and chartreuse is awesome I'm assuming that you are using a jig head around one and smashing it and putting they tubing stuff around it and tying it off.
