I use the small size Plano fly box (3582), because that fits in a shirt pocket. I replaced the foam with special order ice fishing lure inserts from Rose Creek on both sides. Since I normally only use 32nd oz and smaller heads (plus a couple of 1/16 oz just in case) on hooks size 4 on down, that gives me some four dozen or so jig heads of various styles and sizes. I store spare heads in a separate, much larger Plano box by themselves and keep it dry. I usually stick with black jig heads, regardless of the plastic tail; so I don't need a huge selection. This fits in a shirt pocket, real handy, and unlike foam mounting the hooks don't tear up the mounting and it has not needed replacing for some years now.
I have 3 rose creeks full of 1/32 jigs. I make the boxes above primarily for my wide gap swim jigs and 1/16 heads. I also have a box like this for 1/24 heads.
Your price is certainly right. The Rose Creek and the Plano boxes are quite a bit more, to say the least.
Nice idea. The waterproof feature will be nice in my float tube. I'll need to be careful not to return wet jigs to the dry box.
