    like the title says, in your opinion , which style is best for vertical jigging in brush

    I don't think you can really look at it like that. I think you have to say what is it today? I use both in summer when fishing tight line style and I am not sure you can just say one is better than the other, it's more of what do they need to see to bite. I will say marabou is the best action material there is bar none! Just watch it in the water next to your boat and you will see it look more like its swimming. However the hackle tail also look really good in the water and both look like heck when you pull them out of the water, but that is not how the fish see them. It probably will come done to which you have more confidence in.

    Fished all last summer using hackle with v-cut and caught a lot of fish. Just starting to experiment with marabou. Guess I will see for myself in a few months. -danny
