    Default Mono Weedless

I have seen this used for years to make a deer hair Bee or frog weedless. Having need for weedless hooks lately it came to mind. This is tied on a 1/0 or so salt water hook with 20lb mono just to illustrate the idea. Smaller hooks and line can be substituted. Tie a base layer and attach the mono on the bend side first and bring it up the curl of the hook enough to keep it in place. Bring the thread up toward the eye and capture the mono loosely and position it to make the loop. Generous amount of Sally or head cement and you're ready to fish. Not bullet proof but it does a better job than you would think. It can even be applied to a jig with a bit of experimenting. Now that I have planted the seed.........

Good job Joe. Just be careful not to use too heavy a mono line. Wish I could say which is best but you have to experiment.
