    Default First attempt

Here is my first attempt to tie some marabou jigs. I am using cheap ebay marabou and some jigheads from belizaire. I am also using a metal vise instead of a normal fly vise.Name: 001.jpg

For a first one, good job. I am not sure but it looks like you cut the tips off? If so don't do that, always cut the other end off for length before it's tied in. Also even though this one is fine and I can't really tell from the pic, but it may be possible to use a little less marabou. Just tips incase I see what I think I do.

    still will catch fish though!

Thanks for the comments. I forgot to mention that this jig was made for small bass at a pond that I fish at so I cut the tips off and put a lot of marabou to give it a bigger profile.
