    Default Head Cement Jar

Where can I order one of those little containers with the needle on top? I see guys using them for head cement and that looks 100 times easier than my bodkin+open jar technique. I've got plenty of cement, so I would like to find an empty one if possible. Anyone have a source???

I have some of this and I always get the glue stuck in the needle after each use. What is the best way to prevent this?

Do you push the needle tip all the way down into the rubber portion? And are you thinning the cement? Mine is 50/50 with acetone and it doesn't set up in the tube but it does around the bottom of the rubber and needs cleaned up some after non use.

JS and Bob Marriott's both sell them as well as about any fly tying shop in the country. You can get several different kinds of plastic ones, but some like to apply their glue with a bodkin and for that they have some small glass jars that have a bilt in bodkin in the lid. All work fine!

Bass Pro sells them, filled and empty. I just hate when you don't use it awhile and it dries up and ruins the bottle. $ down the drain.
