    Default Tryed one with some dubbing materials!


    I got er done but tricky didn't have any wax so I use chap stick what you think? Anybody no where I can get a wax stick?

    I feel sure JS and Bob Marriott's both sell wax. They should have a couple different ones. There are other brands than this as well. You can search fly tying shops and probably find a lot more.

    Keep a wet paper towel in a bowel next to you. I have some but haven't used it in years. Fly tyers have a rule of thumb on dubbing - take what you think you need, then take half of that for tying in, a little goes a long way.

    Also if you were to learn the rope dubbing method you wouldn't need any wax or glue. It is a completely different way of dubbing. Actually it's a different way of tying as much as anything. Are you using a loop type method?
