These are my three I use the most in stained to muddy. Good luck with your hand tied jigs :) Don't over look a solid black jig also.

Sorry I missed this one until it's too late. I would try a jig like Stump Humter's top one which is just like my old Black Widow jig. Also makes me think of my glow jigs. I sure wouldn't pass up trying so e Blue and Chart, maybe Soldier Blue? Some of the others have already talked about some of my colors for muddy water.
For sure blue body and ch tail on plain head. Also junebug head, purple body, white tail with flash
