    Default How to videos

I watched some videos this morning on youtube. Anyone can get these and I tell you about them for the technique. I realize that most folks will never pick up a fly rod, but the guys tying these flies will add to your Bag of Tricks that we all use when building a jig. Bob Clouser will show how to tie his famous Clouser minnow, one of the most versatile flies in existence. Others I watched were for the goober bug, an ultra simple tie that I can see me tying some of. Another is of a sixty second bream fly. One of the things I took away from this is the working of the rubber legs, also how to tie bucktail without leaving a ledge where the hair ends. These are worth your time, and I highly advise a little time for those new folks here to help you expand on your confidence level. Knowledge is power, get you some!

Very hard to watch videos on my computer at home. Our service is slower than cold molasses. Besides I enjoy reading more. My problem is I don't know which tying books are most beneficial

X2 - I'll always recommend the Beginning Tying course on Fly Anglers On-line http://flyanglersonline.com/flytying/beginners/. I've seen the tying skills of many people who have gone through it and then the Intermediate and the Advanced. It's picture step by step but IT WORKS. Everything is broken into lessons and you can print out those that you want.
