Newbie looking for advice

Guys I am new to the tying world and it looks like I am getting ready to become an addict lol!! The question I have for you is what size thread do you guys recommend for tying 1/16 1/8 and 3/32 jigs? Also what size of chinelle do you recommend? Any other advice you can give me would be much appreciated.

Bigo, welcome! Repeat after me. I can stop this behavior! Lol . Really it's just up to your imagination. There is a ton of info on here and some expert tiers who are very forthcoming with their knowledge. I tie, or try to tie with a variety of sizes and ingredients. But start small because it just grows on its own. What's most important is to have fun, enjoy and get someone else started in the hobby

I use mostly Danville 210 Denier thread on jigs and the flat waxed version, but a couple colors they don't make in flat waxed and then use FlyMaster Plus also made by Danville. I also really like Ultra Thread and for the most part do not like Uni thread, but I do even use a couple colors of it because I can't get it in the other 2 brands.

3/32 with #2 hook works for me.

Like Skip said, I usually tie with a 210 or a 280 denier thread. It does not always work out that way for me though. At those times I grab what i have that I closest to the color that I am wanting to use.
