Len that is a neat combo you put together! Purple works well all year here. I Use it a good bit in the dead heat of the summer probably the most.

My Dad and I used 1/64 oz (maybe 1/32, I'm getting old) purple beetlespins for bluegill a ton when I was young. We used to drive about 30 miles to a bait shop that had them just to get them, sometimes they had them sometimes they didn't but when they did we bought them all. It was one of the few things my Dad actually spent money on. I've loved purple ever since, especially in the spring. Those look awesome, what size are they and what is that chenille?
those jigs look terrific I see you like the little rubber legs.

Great looking jig Len!!! I'd try that anytime.
Was not crappie, but we use to use a lot of black and purple in the spring during the spawn for bass. I bet the crappie will love it too. I know a couple years back. Tied up a jig that was intended for bass with a marabou tail. The jig with a short worm tail was how it was rigged and I made a cast into some shallow water off my bulkhead and got a hit I sure thought would be a bass, but it was not a bass, it was a crappie.
