Thanks guys, First I flattened the 3/32 head so the eyes would have a place to stick, then I powder coated the head with white pearl with pepper flakes then I added white and gray deer hair to the inside of the body and then put the white marabou on the outside, the deer hair makes the marabou stand out , then added flash and chenille. I've come up with so many different color combos lately and haven't had time to try them out. When I do go i'm going to be like a kid in a candy store.

CL we all experiment with color combos. Some will work better than others and still we find those that will are the best producers. I find that I have about 5 that are producers time after time. But every year I find one that the fish haven't seen and will be killers until somebody finds out about it and everyone starts to use them. Some one is always watching the better fisherman and will imitate what they do to increase their catch. One of the reasons I am always on the prowl to find that next new jig that will be just that much different that will fool those big fat slab crappie.

One thing that I have did to increase my catch is to bend the hook off center to give the jig a different action. One of the tricks that made a difference that the local boys haven't been able to figure out yet. Try a off set head another trick that works great. All kinds of tricks that you can use to make a jig act a little different that will trigger a fish to bite.

Use your head for something besides a hat rack and you just maybe in the ranks of the best on the lake.

Another good trick with the jig hooks is, when fishing tree tops or brush with jigs is I will turn the hook 90 degrees so that the hook will be pointing down instead of up and it helps from getting hung up as much but u can still get a good hook set.
