what is the best type of paint to use on jigheads, other than the powder coat stuff?

Vinyl, but you have to use a white base coat. It's good, just has to dry well. Nothing is better than powder for looks and time.

I have used testors model paint in the past but like Skip said, nothing beats powder paint.
