Good Morning, Everybody... I want to thank fq13 and Fatman for their words of praise. I'm not sure that I deserve them, but I'll take them, just the same. And, I want to thank those of you who've shown an interest in wanting to lend a hand with the tying classes for "my kids"-- kids battling/surviving cancer, much the same as I am. After all, who better to teach them than someone who's been where they're at?? I've managed to survive 3 brain tumors over the last 16 years-- my second tumor robbed me of my eyesight and rendered me blind for 5 long years until the "miracle surgery" of late 2009 that restored my sight --and have taught these classes for well over a decade. And, along the way, I've met a lot of truly special kids and their folks, kids who displayed courage, dignity and grace under pressure. They live their lives honestly and upfront, and I can't help but respect and admire their strengths. They've all taught me as much as I've ever taught them, which is why I continue to do what I do every year. So, my thanks to those of you who took the time to pause and send a good thought my/our way... Jerry, aka hairwing530 And, if you need to get in touch with me, the e-mail address is [email protected] Tight lines always... Jerry
