    Default Sat. Jigs

Finally got boat ruining and honey do lists caught up and a hall pass! 26 degree air temps. Hard frost! Had several new jigs to try out! First float-n-fly caught 2 on a bluff wall. Then by 1100 am headed for brush pile hunting . Found and marked a few and started pulling. Mixed it up with hand tied against soft plastics all with my heads. One tandem set up with a poney head 1/32 with a little custom Popeye 1/50 head craft hair and blue crystal flash. The hook was a tiny #8 light wire hook. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that little jig would do so well! I just wanted to share finding and marking brush and then catching fish on something I made with my hands.. I'm not sure it can get much better! That jig is so little I had a hard time tying!lol! I'm still in sc coming home on weekends. The fall bite is just starting hope to do a Mano - a - Mano soft plastic's to hand tied next weekend! All that to say this you guys inspired me to push my limits of tying skills and it has paid off! Thanks to you guys Skip, PePop, and others for inspiration ! Later LB

I inspired someone!?!? Who'd a thunk it! Usually I'm the one inspired by the guy's (& gals) on this site. Like VaCM, I'd love to see what hand tied jig was working for you. I agree, there ain't nothin better than catching fish with a jig of your own creation, off a brush pile you found yourself. Congrats!

Good to hear you found the fish and tied a jig they wanted. Awesome to catch fish on your own jig, congrats.
