Default Envirotex Lite question on cranks

I use Envirotex Lite a lot in my taxidermy business for water scenes and such. When poured thick, I know it has a long cure life. I painted several Bandits this week and cleared them with a what-I-thought-was a precise mixture of Envirotex Lite with a small amount of glitter mixed in. Once painted on, I place the baits on my rotisserie and left them turning over night. Now, a couple of days later, the baits are still sticky to the touch. I sat a hot plate under the baits and ran them with mild heat all day yesterday.

Some questions: Does the epoxy have a shelf-life? Could the addition of the glitter have anything to do with the drying rate?

I have brand new Envirotex Lite that I picked up this week but would like to get some opinions before I trash the old stuff(less than 1 year old).

Hey Doug, I find that the humidity plays a big role in curing.http://eti-usa.com/wp-content/upload...ion-Sheet1.pdf They say humidity needs to be under 50% which is hard in Ky. I have been hearing good results out of this product.Epoxy :*Kleer Koat Table Top Epoxy Another Epoxy Topcoat - Hard Baits - TackleUnderground.com

I have been using this product for a couple years now. Feel safe in recommending it to others. it was recommend to me by another local builder. I have to say, as epoxies go, it is pretty good. The learning curve for epoxies like etex is a bit long but I believe is worth the effort if you like this type of topcoat. I use the product for bill and hook hanger installation too. This product is not for those in a hurry but if your patient, the results are great. A lure turner is a must but the cleanup is easy with alcohol. Here is a link to the product.

I bought the 2 quarts and after two years of using this product exclusively ( besides the occasional exception of trying something new) on over a couple hundred baits, I still have over half of it left.
