They look fine Bob. Not sure if your taking the hair off the hide or not, but it's much better if it stays on the hide IMHO! I always tie it on the hide and sometime I use a zonker and a crosscut strip, but other time I just use a crosscut strip by it self.

skip cut the hair off the hide I don't like that hide at all but on bigger jigs you could be able to hide it but I kindly enjoyed working with it and like I said the rabbit hair is not my favorite though I have a lot of it but I don't like using it I have never had that stuff in the water so I would imagine it is quite flexible have you tried it in the water skip and did you do any good catching fish I might try to add different materials with it the next time I make some up.

I use rabbit hair jigs all the time. They are my favorite jig. Great action in the water. ScottV on the MS board ties them for me and makes the jig heads too.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Perfect profiles! Rabbit is only material I like better than marabou. Hide or not, they're awesome and I'm a big fan of the overall shape you've tied up.

I like the action the rabbit gives, but the stuff triggers my allergies. I have a red fox tail I use in a bluegill fry imitation that also has a bunch of action. Good jigs Bob, I like the bottom one, looks like the one I just spoke of.
