Cool looks on the diff eyes with the two coat system. Doing half n half candies over the vein makes it even more fun, but way to time consuming.
Just go with green chrt or fl yellow tails on any of em, maybe add a few strands of complimentary color to em from to match your candy, a chenille with both of those colors or a spin off of an old proven combo (like the old Xmas tree), and a holographic flash and your set.
Clean work.
Really neat looking, and the eyes just jump out at you but isn't that coloring take a lot of time. I would guess??? with a one color, those eyes, and the right tie(like one of your ties) that you would have a winner.. Up here many like either black with some orange, or dark brown, or tones of green or blue and black.
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

I really like the first head Skip. I would tie on some Aqua and chartreuse with a little flashabou then wrap it just a little with a silvery scale.

Thanks guys! Jack it does take more time, but I plan on having more time soon going forward. Going to fish a lot more and tie much less so a little extra time which is really just a double paint and double oven time so not terrible. Well actually the next added time is the eyes, but these don't really add much extra time over painted ones, maybe less since if you do 2 color eyes you have double drying times and really the reason I never put eyes on unless ask for. With these they stick good enough to stay while I add a coat of clear vinyl which should hold the, really good.
Those look great! What vein did you use on them? They turned out really great!
I used the Silver Vein on these. I have some Gold Vein, but really have not even tried it yet. Also have Copper Vein, but don't plan on using it like this. 2 of these are Transparent Gold over the Silver Vein, now that is a different take huh?
The transparent gold gives a good baitfish approach over it but than trans copper will give you a good orange tinted goldfish approach. I like when using oranges in black water.
We have similar taste in the colors. I like silver a lot, but also gold as there is a lot of gold of baitfish and just fish. I remember in 2010 I was resting out a new kip tail jig on mu bank and I had a cork over the jig. I put it in just a few feet from me and didnt wait long before pulling it out with the intent on placing it in another spot near, but as I pulled it out there was a flash from a fish just below where it came out. So I put it back in as fast as I could and bang, a big white crappie and in the next few minutes I pulled out 3 more. The smallest was 14" and I will never forget that flash of gold I saw in the water as I pulled it out before catching them.
