Powder paint doesn't really "mix" as it's a powder not liquid...most of the better mixes I've seen are lightening colors with white or mixing 2 or more similar colors to get the shade you want.

personally I threw a color wheel way and do a lot of messing around what ever looks good by experimenting . Of course you'll be throwing a lot of your experiments in the garbage. But you definitely will have fun messing around we have made up some concoctions that would deftly scare the fish to death . Many years ago when we were messing around with making rubber tubes I mixed up a color of a yellow and brown it come out like pretty terrible looking but it definitely caught fish. So some of the concoctions that you mix up you may want to try before you throw them in the trash. Because some of the color tones in the water will look different to the fish .

I have found that anything mixed with white looks good. Blue/white makes a speckled robin egg color. Pink/white will tone down to a nice light pink. Silver/fire orange is very ugly, do not try it! Trial and error are the best bet for mixing powder.

I am also just experimenting with blending powder's and like the blend of blue/silver
Probably can't see it in the picture but the head shows just a tint of blue kind of like gun metal!!!

If you want to paint with the silver powder paint I would just buy a $5 2 oz. jar of the ProTec silver PP.

There's quite a bit of trial and error that goes with learning the powder paint, and I'm sure that mixing your own colors will multiply it.

If I was you , I'd pick out 4 or 5 colors I liked and purchase the 2 oz. jars of them to get started. A 2 oz. jar will paint a whole bunch of crappie jigs!

Let us know how you progress and if you have any problems post them here and I'm sure your questions will be answered in short order.

Just buy a 2 oz jar of silver paint. You can't mix it. Or better yet coat your head in clear nail polish or clear powder paint and it'll stay silver and not oxidize. A little vinegar and water will take off the oxidation if they're already dark.
