    Default Pro Weld Plastics Welder

    HI all
I'm purely a novice at making jigs. I sometimes put something together that catches fish.
I make jig heads from bending hooks and pinching split shot. I make hair jigs from florescence toy wigs found in dollar stores coffee straws and ("weed eater gas line" works great) . I change the color with permanent markers, spike-it and jjs majic.
I have bushels of bass plastics and odd panfish plastics I don't use anymore.
I'd like to be able to cut and fuse plastics to make any combination I want .
I tried mend-it but wasn't very impressed. I didn't get the finished product I wanted.
Any have experience or info on this "Pro Weld Plastics Welder"?
Any suggestions or other ides on welding plastic is appreciated.
    Thanks Fin

I have not tried the tool for welding plastics but I do use one for cutting wing while tying flies. You can get a better price on a cutter. Try this one Cautery Tool Fly Tying | eBay

I've been looking for some old plastics to play myself. If you have to much, maybe we can work something out.

just hold the two ends you want to join near a candle flame at the bottom so as to not get soot in it. Wait till it starts to get clear and shiny and press them together.
