I may have a chance to get a bunch next week. I don't know what to pay him for it. It's good lead, not wheel weights. Thanks.

Pure......about 2 dollars on line. In IL I just bought 150 lbs cash for 1 dollar a pound. Cash is king!

About a $1 a pound, some salvage yards may be higher. If you didn't know what type I'd say be careful. Heard about a few ebay buys on other boards where it was listed as pure and when they received it was pretty much junk!!!!

If anyone really has a hard time finding pure I've heard good things about Roto metals.

This is almost pure lead. They line the Sheetrock in X-ray rooms with 1/8" lead. It's the same stuff the plumbers use for roof flashings. You can dent it with your fingernail. I poured a few jigs with it last night. I hope I can pick up some more.

I found the re-claimed lead X ray room sheets at my local salvage dealer for .72 a lb. pretty good! I think

Yep that's good stuff!!!!!!!! The only time you might find a problem with it is if it still has some of the glue from being attached to the drywall. If it does melt it down OUTSIDE as it will really smell!!!

My last run to the scrap dealer I found wheel weight just over a dollar per pound and lead about a dime more.
