Default Sat. 2/9/13 Home made Jigs home lake catchin

Planed a trip with a close friend from church to my home lake here in Ga. My friend is a Cajun transplant and had not fished in years since he left south La. I could not sleep with the thoughts of what the day might hold. We put half marabou or heck hackle againsts soft plastic's (with my hand poured heads)...soft plastic's won put (it aint over) my marabou will win out! caught 32 kept 22 for the grease! Here are some pictures...now I do know that the Lord granted me favor that we might have the day we did...off the water at 1.30 pm to get back to the wife...still the feeling of those fish wacking those baits nearly taking the rod out of the holders...and the flies being taken so deep in their mouths!!! There is a great since of acomplishment! thanks to all of you people here that have inspired me to get better at what I love...later LiftbiteName: photo (8).jpg

One thing a coon ass knows how to do, catch sac-a-lait! Another thing they can do is cook! Make sure he cooks you a good gumbo for taking him fishing!

Houma is WAY down there! I go down there to catch speckle trout and redfish whenever I get a chance. Speaking of that, I'm overdue......note to self....line up speckle trout/redfish trip, lol! I don't know how ya'll can afford crawfish in Georgia, they've gotten so expensive we're about ready to scratch them off our list of things to eat. BTW, nice looking box of fish and jigs!

we always put out fish in Mustard and Tabasco for a bit before putting on the fish fry stuff and it makes for a very nice tasting fish. Also you don't really taste the Tabasco after cooked.
