Whats the best filter to use in a fluid bed?
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

TJ Tackle....only way to go. 15 cups and two 3"fluid beds. Worth every penny!
Ditto and have way over 50 cups now, not even sure how many, but long ago gave up on using home made Fluid Beds and make due filters. Some like the home made ones just fine, I just never like them at all and now have 2 bought fluid beds and can use them separate or in a 2 step paint job, like adding UV or glitter.
I use a 1/8"solid polyethyelene fluidizing sheet in the cups, they last forever i have cups that i have literally painted thousands upon thousands of jigs with and they're still as good as new.Let me know if i can help you in any way.

bugman is that the same stuff in the bottom of the cups other have? Like TJ and CSI sell?
Been making do with brown bag filters which worked good for me. Just bought a cup from TJ's tackle and it is top notch. Before long going to order some more from him or Bugman. It is the only way to go.

I have the polypropylene mesh I got from another member and it works good. Only problem is trying to match it up with McMaster Carr.
Their chart shows differnt materials corn kernals, rice, rock salt and flour - well if powder paint is typical of flour in density the 80x80 should work but I can't match it against what I have.

If what I have ever fails I'll send the cups I use to TJ or Bugman to affix the mesh they use.
I would assume they use something similar, the stuff is amazing i made a bubbler for my minnow bucket with it i used a short piece of pipe capped one end fitted the material in the other after i put lead in the bottom to hold it down put a flowback preventer in the coupler for the air supply and the thing works as well as any airstone out there, the thing that amazed me the most was that water didn't pass through the material and i even left it in there for a couple of days without air and the inside was still as dry as a bone....cool stuff.

bugmans beds work GREAT! I have several cups and the stuff he uses works super! And his cups come with caps so you can leave the paint in the cups and just change cups when you want to change colors.
