Truth be told, the only ones I really needed were the redman heads but it's too much work getting set up for one mold so I poured all the others too. I have about 115 bags of painted jigs, and another 10-12 unpainted. If I want glitter on some of the solid colors I just reheat and dip in the clear and glitter and recure. I could probably tie for weeks and not run out but it's the winter time here in Vermont so I do all my tackle making now. It's only Dec. so I could slow down but it's too much fun!!!!!!!!!!
I got my casting out of the way last week. 200 1/8 oz. and 200 1/4 oz. pony heads.
Both are the same, but why do we pour sinkers and jigs, but cast bullets?
Doug, I see you fired up the pot!! did your fingers get a little warm with the one banger mold?
redear - Im usually good with a bare hand for about 6 pours, then I put the glove on but I screwed up 1 TIME!!! and one TIME only!!!!!!! Had done about 20 in a row and the phone rang, and I just blanked on how many I did and grabbed the little sucker and let go REAL QUICK!!!!!!!!! LOL I'm really liking the vise grip adjustable channel locks and they were well worth the $23 dollars!!!!!!!!!! I really like the size 4's I got from Toad but have to be real careful with the short shank to the eye!!!! I don't want to mess it up!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah, it does get warm! lol
