    Default Gnats

How come there isn't any pics/post here about them? I searched but came-up with a goose-egg. I fished with some Tuesday, thought I'd tie some of my own to use (as well as to give some to friends I make along the way). Anyone have anything (info/pics) to post?

What is the material the bodies are generally made of (though those I saw were much less material than a "regular" jig.

most of his GNATS are made with kiptail hair, and some of them have silicone skirt material and flash.

Donnie uses kip tail on most and rubber on some. Look at the sponsored ads. He's has a post with a lot of pictures. I personally use rabbit zonkers on the ones I tye for myself. I also do some rubber.

Or Neon Moon....you can go over to the Dam Store at Sardis and buy some if they are not sold out. They are really great to use fishing with minnows. I love them.

If is isn't broken don't fix it... BUT for Great Lakes' tribs steelhead jigs it is very common to use a "bead head" jig. They are very similar to the gnats.

Is there any weight to your Gnats Donald? Or do you fish them with some other weight or jig? I like the looks of them, but don't understand how you use them. Fill me in please.

I have some new material that I would like to try like that.
