    Jigs do look good!
I have to admit that I have never tried a brown jig for crappie and I do mean never. It's something I have to do at least one time! I just forced my self to get some chenille that is a lighter Brown and it is a variegated one ,but at least it should finally push me to give it a shot!

    Good job!

For the guys that commented on the brown. Those are not chenille. I blended rabbit hair and some dubbing called light bright. When the sun hits it it almost glows.

I have some of that dubbing. It's nice stuff for sure. I also havd a ton of rabbit and love it too and so do the crappie, but I tied and sell a lot of Ginger for guys which I consider a medium to light brown and know they catch a lot of crappie using it, but I just never have and need to. I have a new mix of medium types brown's with some gold flash in it and think it will probably be my first one to actually try.

color is a hand mix of testors enamel and epoxy. I first put a base coat of white enamel and then I use the paint sparingly in the epoxy mix. Should be slightly transparent.

Those look really nice. Good work!

I only fish on days of the week that end with
a "Y" ...and then, only if it's raining or not.
