    Default Got new jig mold

Bought new mold from do-it molds (walleye jig mold) a guy wanted some 3/8 and 1/2 oz. jigs made to copy a jig that he had for oneida lake walleye.
i'd show them also but i thought i'd show the 1/16oz crappie jigs i made. he also wanted a trailer hook attached on his size 6 so i added a trailer size 10 on these crappie jigs. i started with these colors since i've been catching yellow perch out in the lake with this color marabou jig. for the perch the trailer hook was the ticket, but after going after some crappie in port bay (off of lake ontario) it worked great for crappie but most were hooked on the main hook, with the occasional
trailer hook catch. what do ya think? any suggestions would be appreciated also.

Also took some regular round head 1/16oz, flattened sides and here are the results.

Like the color of the jigs. Trailer jig for crappie personally I don't think it's needed as they have that big mouth and like you said most were hooked on the main hook anyway. I am trying to get a good picture of the head in my mind and having a bit of trouble. Most walleye jigs I have seen have the indent for the eye, but looks like this one has no indent which I like as I don't really care for all the trouble and extra cost with using the stick on eyes and seems this one can just be painted. However it doesn't look like all 3 are the same jig head? The first pic has that ridge where it's thin, but the bottom one looks more like a pill head. Is this as it seems or are all the same?

Skip... in between the top two pictures and the one on the bottom there is a note "Also took some regular round head 1/16oz, flattened sides and here are the results." so i would guess the top two are the same walleye head and the bottom a 1/16 ballhead...

    Thanks Doc, I missed that.

Looking again the chenille looks like it may be Crystal Antron which is really nice stuff and last very well. Maybe try some Sickle hooks?

thanks for the discussions, thanks doc, yes they are just round heads flattened a little. i will try some sickle hooks too, sounds good.
skip if you look on the do-it website and check out the "walleye jig" ....whb-7-a a d what i really liked were the smaller ones like the
1/16oz, 3/32oz and 1/8oz. the come with a barbed collar but for tying i just cut the collar off and with the collar is a nicejig for plastics.
    thanks guys,

I don't pour my own so probably know less than maybe I should and am just talking about some heads I got a few years back and looking at some others that had the sockets. If I did pour my own, I would probably choose a mild that disnt have the sockets and no collar if they make one like that. I just tell Paul what I want and he makes them.
He has mentioned a few times that some mold was making him crazy, but maybe it's just me asking for what I do sometimes, LOL!
