the only thing i would do is stop my chanelle a bit shorter , body looks a little long but they look great you should catch fish on them no problem ,when you have tied your 100,000 jig you will look back at these and grin just as i have with mine lol

Ues the same thread color that you use on the body or as close as you can get, also the thread shouldn't show so maybe make the chenille a little tighter up against the head. I also stop my body at about the hook point most of the time. Some of your look longer mostly because your not using Sickle hooks and regular bend hooks have a longer shank.

Advice, fish them. Only other advice, turn the flash on for sharper pictures.

Cleaner ties will come with time. Red thread at the head can be useful to imitate gills and add color so can many other colors. I like to use pink thread in white and really light color bodies with darker or contrasting color heads.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

fish _4_all will agree with you there. I use red a lot to imitate the red gill flash and have good success. Some don't like to do it that way but has never been a impediment to me.

Jarnold Keep up the good work you will get there. Only practice will get you tying better. The more you do the better you get.

X2. I will sometimes let a little red show to as it imitates the open gills and is an attracting color. Shorten the chenille and take them to the water.
