Wife's first jigs

Here's a picture of the first two jigs my wife tied . Very proud of her and I'm sure they'll catch some crappies. She wanted me to post these for all you guys to see.Thank you ship and skip for all your articles and suggestions.

Catch & crisco you are a very lucky man. Your wife has skills. Those are some great looking lures. You should be very proud of her efforts. Now go get those puppies wet and into some Crappies mouth. It will be catch and grease for sure then. Glad you are having fun. Take care my friend.

Hey guys...I'm the c&c wife. Thank you so much for all the positive responses. They really were my first attempts, not just my first photo worthy. I LOVE it! Going to get more supplies tomorrow. ^Bowman...as soon as I get more proficient! Plus I need to get them wet and make sure they work! Skip, c&c got me a Thompson style whip..Took me a long time. Gonna look for a Mattarelli (spelling?) . Been reading your posts and articles and if I remember right you prefer the Matterelli style. Anyway, first attempt lots of fun and really looking forward to having a day to myself to play some more. Thanks again all for your encouragement. Will have c&c keep you posted! Fish on!

Couple of nice looking jigs for your first ones. Look forward to seeing more of your tying.

Yes your right a Thompson is for flies mostly and being able to whip finish around the eye of a hook and the Mararelli is made for a bigger head or as on a jig, the jig head. The Thompson is for being very tight to the hook eye and the other is never that close.
