Default Hot glue for jig heads?

I have made some fly type lures with hot glue and it got me thinking, why not use it to make jig heads? The only problem I can see is the jig mold needing to be warm enough that the hot glue doesn't set before it fills the cavity but you need to keep it cool enough that it doesn't take an hour to cool enough to get the glue out. That is if it would come out at all without some sort of release agent or light coating of cooking spray or something else, maybe smoking the mold would work?

Anyone willing to give it a try? I have found hot glue in a multitude of colors and some with glitter so it could be a new thing. And it would make a large head with very little weight.

I made those using an old toy I have had for years to turn the hooks so the glue came out perfect round. I don't know if I could turn a jig hook and get the glue not to run up the shank to the eye but will give it a try.

The best thing is you tie everything in first and then put the glue on securing it all pretty much solid.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Didn't turn out too bad. The round one was done on the turner I have. The other 3 were molded in a bullet head jig mold. They are extremely light for s 5/8 ounce jig head but is shows proof of concept.

Now I just have to add some feathers and other stuff to make real jigs.

I think you will have a problem if you intend to powder paint them...
