Default Had to do some pouring yesterday!!!!!!!!

Recently bought a bunch of new powder paint colors but found I was really low on Horseheads so I had to get some pouring done. Only poured two trays full and had to stop cause the back started hurting.

Half way through pouring I couldn't figure out why the horsehead started pouring so bad - bout 2 more pours and I found a small piece of lead on the 1/32 oz side of the mold which was keeping it open, got it out and back to normal. So I'm gonna have some trimming to do but that's okay.

Got all the sprues trimmed from Tray 1 and although Tray 2 shows some still on they are all off now!!! Was gonna powder paint today but with the back stiff I'll sit and finish trimming then putting tin foil on the horsehead swivels and get them ready for painting.

Dang thats alot of pouring! My dad and I just got into it and it seemed like it took forever... We were only using 3 cavities on the mold tho... Does it make it faster with a melting pot? We were using a ladle and having to sit it down and pick it back up and such... I feel like its dangerous but my dad swears its okay... lol

I just started filling my new jig box I thought was going to hold most of my jigs; wrong! I have not even close to put them all in that box is almost full and lots left. I ended up with probably 8 or 9 boxes of Roadrunners and still a lot left to do. Didn't realize how many I had, but I do see how much that old style box kind of makes the marabou all fluffed up and the flash strips not exactly straight. Thank goodness it's the thin stuff so not anything wrong really. I could fill that entire 16 boxes with Roadrunners I think.

Should get in 1/2 day of fishing tomorrow so hoping the weather lets us at least get that in because it's gonna start by Tuesday for sure.
