What is your method to tying jigs?

Marabou takes me a while and it's messy! But I take my time and enjoy it. So I'm extremely slow. Especially when it comes to painting since that is most enjoyable to me.
If I had to meet a time, it wldnt be fun.
Flash is quickest part of process for me. Cut on or two long pieces together, split them in half with thread from bobbin hanging below the base of the head. Rotate them to the top while holding tension on tail ends n bobbin. Lock down with a few wraps close to head, then spread em along sides and wrap back. Or wrap them in separate locations individually. As long as they're locked in at the front, makes it easier on me. And eliminates an extra cut.

I have my days, never near as quick as Skip, usually the pokey little puppy. Like others have said, body aches make me move around and then I get sidetracked, you know the rest.

I aint no professional and dont makem to sell mostly for personal use but if im doing the same color i will get a dozen plus in 2-3 hours but i would rather take my time and make it look sweet also skiptomylu is right when you change up differant colors on anything or materials its gonna take extra time for sure. I love tying crappie jigs its fun and just learning all the differant colors and things is awsome!! i find it theraputic too with a few cold ones and your favorite music its all good.

If I stick to one style, color, jig, with flash, marabou, and the head already painted with eye's about 5 min. per jig with chinille...but only keep that up for a short while,can not be disturbed. if get side tracked forget it.
