It was so warm today in northern Illinois that my brother and I decided to play hookie and go fishing. I fished a bunch of my new marabou and deer tail hand-ties.

There's a lot of algae in the lake and my jigs got coated with the stuff. I cleaned them off by hand when I changed jigs, but they've still got a fair amount of gunk on them.

Do you clean them off after fishing? Run them under a faucet and pick away the debris? Other?

I generally do that before I switch jigs to keep it from looking like crap, but thats probably just the ocd in me.
