    Default ???Orange - Chartreuse???

    I've been reading a lot of posts on here, and the majority of you pros, are saying that orange/chartreuse is the best color combo with stained or clear water. I've been tying a lot of my own jigs lately and I'm getting ready for a trip in March to the mighty reelfoot lake. My question with this combination of colors is... What color the head is and what color is the feather or hair being used. I'm seeing alot of orange/chartreuse replys to most of the questions being asked. Does that mean the jig head is orange and the tail is chartreuse? Or does it mean that the collar is orange and the tail is chartreuse? I'm tying jigs like crazy and i would like to see if any one can shoot me a pick of these bad boys! Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

    orange head and green chartruese body and tail works great for me in alot of places. I have also used crazy anglers fire tiger chenille which is orange and yellow, along with a green chart. head and tail.

    I wouldn't leave out Chart/Blue/Chart either. It works! Also Black and chartreuse and can be Black/Black/Chart or Chart/Black/Chart.

    I only fish stained or muddy.

    Stained= orange/white/chart
    Muddy= orange/black/chart

    And when I say "chart" I mean flourescent yellow. The orange needs ti be bright like the blaze orange..
    A lot people gauge the jigs color by daylight at hand but in the river here I find judging the water clarity, or lack of, more important.
    Hope you get some slabs at reelfoot!
