TS and Skip - thanks for the tips on this case...bought one this weekend and used thin foam in it. I put labels on the top of each little box so I know what I've got. It is the answer to my organizational issues with hair jigs.
Working on filling it up!
Your welcome guys!
Scott My fried had all his little boxes marked with the weight, but don't remember if he had anything else on them. Really nice storage and can take a lot of jigs fishing with only one box which would be a first for me.
I have no clue how I would ever get fishing enough times in a year to ever need that much jig storage. I wish I fished enough but I doubt that will ever happen.
Just a suggestion for the foam, try pieces of neoprene, dense cork board and there is a high density black foam out there that is supposed to self repair for jig/fly/hook boxes. I can't find it again but have seen it once. I have heard linoleum works too using the back side but I have never seen nor tried it.
Everytime I see Dunigan's jig boxes, I feel like an amateur at jig tying...lol. At some point, we become collector of jigs. No way we could ever fish with all those combinations in our lifetimes. Nice application of the boxes guys. Thanks for sharing.

Skip, Suggestion on how much waterproof it is. Before you start putting anything at all in your boxes lay it outside on the driveway run the water hose in the water shower mode. That will solve all your concerns. Just try it. If it leaks well you will find out fast. Just a suggestion. Good thread
Nice lookin boxes.I like the thicker foam also.I'll have to look around for some.I have a good size piece(12x 24) that was in a Duracell battery display from the store I worked in.
I have tied way more jigs than i will ever use, i always keep a couple of packs of jigs in my pocket when i go to the lake. Then when I'm "pre-fishing" at the ramp before or after I've been I'll offer up some to the locals to try out. I've been put on some good honey holes at the cost of a few hand tied jigs.
Skip, I bought the photo organizer at Hobby Lobby yesterday. Also got the 3 ml form. Works great. I also did what I asked you to do. Sprayed it with water on the drive way for about 2 mins. Guess what the result was. ???????? I went inside and started cutting out the form. It takes 3 sheets to fill all 16 trays. I guess you'll know the answer of the test. Good job Skip on the show and tell of a good organizer.
Your welcome! Thanks for testing it.
Glad you checked it out as I have not had time yet and good to know! I have not even cut my foam yet, but have to soon because rain is about to start again which means I will be able to get my boat out next week for the first time since Sept. 2010! Finally and will tomorrow order a hydraulic jack plate for it! Should have put One on it when I bought it!
