Anyone ever hear from that guy selling the Polar Bear fur?

No I haven't. When I seen your post I thought maybe you got some of it and was posting a pic. Maybe someone knows something about the PB fur or the guy that had it..

Skip - I had a bunch of PM's back and forth with him and he was going to send a copy of the inventory from when the guy bought it out, which for me in Vermont would have covered the how'd ya get it LOL. But then nothing. I was really hoping too!!!!!! If I hear anymore I'll let ya know.

Yeah I had the PM's back and forth too. Told him I wod buy up to 100 pieces, many more.
I have a bunch of colors of it and still would have loved to have more especially white which he sai that was most of what he had and some off white! He said the guy was going through it And had a lot, but wondering now if there is any!

My mom has a membership at the zoo near where she lives, and she gets a couple of free passes every year. We always go when I take the trip out to see my parents. They have three polar bears, and last time I was there the bears were molting. Fist sized balls of polar bear hair were blowing all over the enclosure. Too bad none of the hairballs made it through the fences so I could pick some up.

I just was talking to some guys about bear fur the other day and they were saying it is illegal to sell ANY Bear fur. Don't know for sure but would hate to see anybody get in trouble.

There are very few legal places you can buy Polar Bear fur and they have to have a supply that got in the US before 1974 and be able to prove it. I only know of a couple. They have to have a federal officer certify it to make it legal. Other than that you are right about Polar Bear, but never have heard the same about other bears. US Government made it illegal in 1974 to bring Polar Bear into this country, but any thing before that is grandfathered in.

I see Black Bear hair for sale in a number of places though.
