Size: 34.1 KBIt's been 20 plus years since I tied a fly. I got bored with the no ice fishing this year and needed a new hobby. I get to try them out before long. Thanks for all the ideas on here.

Tying jigs is like riding a bicycle once you learn you can hop on and ride any time you want. Nicely Done. good ties. As they say those dogs will hunt.

Good job and glad you found your way back to this great hobby. Its one that you can do and enjoy the benefits of your effort after the job is done and even feel better after catching the fish than after the tie!

Thanks for the comments. Sorry the middle picture is blurry, I uploaded the wrong pic. I used the left over tips for some hackle to make it look like fins. I don't know if makes any difference to catch crappies, but I thought it looked neat I just read about powder coating here 2 weeks ago and had to try it out. It works great. I have about a dozen different colors. I have no idea what patterns will work on my local lakes (Raystown, PA) but I'll be trying them out. I really like the look of the alwive pro tech powder. I tied some olive green and dunn maribou with it. I think it would be good in clear water. Charteuse always works so I am making lots of those. I usually fish plastics and minnows.
