    Default Found my buggy yarn

I knew I had it somewhere. This is the stuff that makes a really hairy multi colored bug quick and easy. Makes a great steelhead pattern but I am sure that with a couple quick wraps it would get the attention of anything that swims.

It is called Lion Brand thick and quick but it is no longer made. I wish I could find something close to it again but I haven't seen anything yet. Good thing I got skeins of the color above, black, a lavender purple and white when I found it.

I suppose a thicker chenille version might work but you won't be able to get that many colors in any chenille I have ever found.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Looks good, but I can't see any White in it so suppose it's just hidden with the other great colors in it huh? It looks a lot more like Purple, gold or Yellow, but guess the real colors are just hard to see in a pic, but no matter is wild looking stuff!

No white in that one, I have a skein of white yarn just like it. Here's a close up to show the colors.

I have gotten some of my own special color combinations from Robert and have killed a few fish using it. Only problem is Wapsi only makes 3 color chenille. Not gonna find a chenille from them with that many colors. Will be getting with Robert to get some larger skeins of the stuff I have and maybe one other color combo.

Here's what I have from him already:

It is hard to see the chartreuse in the top one but it is orange, pink and chartreuse. Salmon and steelhead simply love it. Trout seem to love it too.

That one is black, red and purple. Summer runs steelhead and fall Chinook have hit this one hard. Trout also like this one but not as much as the other one.

Now if I could just find some crappie to hit it I would know if pan fish like it.
