    Default Stick-on eyes

Questions about stick-on eyes. 1.do they need to be clear-coated and why? 2.How will they hold up on your jigs in your tackle box in hot weather? What techniques are recommended for applying them to a jig head? Probably all dumb questions but the older I get the easier they get to ask!

Ive not found a self adhesive brand that will hold.I used super glue for a while, but went to hard as nails.just a dab under the eye,and top coat after applied. Works well for me so far.

    1. you really need to epoxy over the eyes, or they tend to fall off. I have been pretty successful with super glueing them on.

    2. if epoxied or glued, i have not had any issues...

    3. I use a utility knife to catch just under the eye to remove from the paper, and then use it to apply to the jig.

A 3-pack of Super Glue Gel can be purchased for a buck at the Dollar Tree. No matter what you try, you're gonna lose a few from time to time.
