    i Have one similar believe it is a Herter's. Not for sure looks like one they had in their catalog back in the early 1960's. Yes but it was a pain to thread. did a good job for a number of years to me.

    Yes. That is old school. Funny thing is that it worked pretty good too.

    Very cool as I like vintage stuff like my pipes. I just got one a couple weeks ago, it just came in after Christmas. It's a Dunhill (kind of the king of pipes), but the coolest part is it's only one year younger than I am and it great condition. Just about mint and was made in 1949.

    So I like your bobbin for sure!
